Hands off trophy
Friday 7th May, thousands of South Africans waited for hours to take a photo of the World Cup trophy. As a matter of fact, the trophy is currently displayed in Cape Town and will circulate in the country for about a month. However, only host country's members of gorvernment and tournament winners have the right to touch the trophy.
On its arrival in South Africa, the trphy was held by Jerome Vackle and after by Nelson Mandela. Nelson Mandela said thaht Jerome Vackle was one of the architects of 2010 World Cup so there was no question the trophy should be brought to him first.
south Africa will be the first ever African country in to host this tournament.
My point of view:
I think the exhibition of the trophy may ease the tension in the country for a month.

Le trophée intouchable
Vendredi 7 mai, des milliers de sud-africains ont attendu des heures pour prendre une photo du trophée de la Coupe du Monde. Le trophée est actuellement exposé au Cap et circulera dans le pays pendant un mois environ. cependant, seuls les membres du gouvernement du pays d'accueil et les vainqueurs peuvent toucher le trophée.
A son arrivée en afrique du Sud, le trophée a été touché par Jerome Vackle puis par Nelson Mandela. Nelson Mandela a dit que Mr Vackle était l'un des architectes de la Coupe du monde 2010 et donc qu'il n'était pas question que quiconque le touche avant lui.
L'Afrique du Sud sera le tout premier pays d'Afrique à accueillir ce tournoi.
Mon point de vue :
Je pense que cette exposition du trophée apaisera les tensions actuelles dans le pays, peut-être pendant un mois.
