Police in the dock
A white trade union, Solidarity, sues South Africa police for discrimination. Actually, it says whites are suffering from racial discrimination within the police force. Allegedly, the police service prefers to be understaffed than to employ competent white officers while South Africa knows one of the highest violent crime rates in the world.
South African police is currently given a lot of media coverage as an officer recently killed a little boy. However, the government has stood by him, according to the presidential disposition that police officers will be allowed to shoot first at criminals in order to reduce crime.

La police poursuivie
Un syndicat «blanc», Solidarity, poursuit la police en justice pour discrimination. En effet, les blancs souffriraient de discrimination raciale. Les services de police préfèreraient être en sous-effectif plutôt que d’embaucher des officiers blancs compétents. C’est aussi un problème majeur pour le pays car, l’Afrique du Sud possède un des taux les plus élevés de criminalité au monde.
De plus, la police est actuellement très médiatisée car un policier a récemment abattu un enfant. Cependant, le gouvernement soutient ce dernier, en vertu de la disposition présidentielle selon laquelle les officiers de police pourront tirer les premiers afin de réduire la criminalité.
