South
Africa has joined the International Community to condemn the inhumane and
barbaric attacks perpetrated by Boko Haram against 16 towns and villages in the
North and North-East of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The
Department of International Relation and Co-operation published a report in
which 2,000 people were reported killed.
South
Africa presented its condolences to Nigeria, especially to the victim's families.
Last
week in the North of Nigeria, Boko Haram attacked the town of Baga and some
villages in Borno State. Amnesty said it was perhaps the deadliest attack of
the group’s history.
Other
nations have also condemned these attacks and support the people of Nigeria
like Canada, the US and France, who also suffered terrorist attacks last week.
Canadian
Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird said: “This brutality against civilians
makes this attack even more contemptible. I am appalled by these reports of entire
towns completely burnt and the violent slaughter of entire communities.”
Washington
issued a statement condemning the recent attacks by Boko Haram, who shows no
respect for human life. All the responsible for these recurring terrorist
attacks must be held guilty.
The USA
said they would work together with Nigeria to end the scourge of Boko Haram’s
group.

L’Afrique du Sud condamne les attaques de Boko Haram

L’Afrique
du Sud a rejoint la communauté internationale dans sa condamnation des
attaques « inhumaines et barbares » de Boko Haram contre 16
villes et villages dans le nord et nord-est de la République fédérale du
Nigeria. Le ministère des Relations internationales et de la Coopération a
publié un rapport indiquant que 2.000 personnes auraient été tuées.
L’Afrique
du Sud a présenté ses condoléances au Nigeria et en particulier aux familles
des victimes. La semaine dernière, au nord du Nigeria, Boko Haram a attaqué
Baga et quelques villages de l'Etat de Borno. Amnesty International a déclaré
que cette attaque était peut-être la plus meurtrière de l'histoire du groupe.
Mais
d’autres pays condamnent les attaques de Boko Haram et soutiennent le peuple
nigérian, comme le Canada et les Etats-Unis et la France qui avait
elle-même subi des attaques terroristes la semaine dernière.
Le
ministre canadien des Affaires étrangères, John Baird a déclaré : « Cette
brutalité contre les civils est méprisable. Je suis consterné par ces rapports
qui font état de villes entières brûlées et de communautés entières massacrées.»
Washington
a publié une déclaration condamnant les récentes attaques de Boko Haram, qui «
ne montre aucun respect pour la vie humaine. » Tous les responsables de ces
attaques terroristes récurrentes doivent être tenus coupables.
Les
USA ont dit qu'ils allaient travailler avec le Nigeria pour mettre fin au fléau
Boko Haram.
